APEx is designed to recognize high-quality radiation oncology practices (ROPs) by evaluating performance in areas that affect patient care and safety. ROPs that obtain APEx Accreditation possess the abilities and resources needed to provide high quality and safe patient-centered care.

The APEx Standards represent an essential practice or competency that contributes to superior patient-centered care.

GO2 Cancer Care Designation

GO2 Excellence Award

The GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer Centers of Excellence award recognizes hospitals for their multidisciplinary and patient-centric care. National Jewish Health and Intermountain Health are the first hospitals in Colorado and Montana to receive this designation.

Lutheran Hospital connection

For more than 30 years, Lutheran Hospital has been honored with Accreditation by American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer. And while we are proud of our history of exceptional outcomes, we are also constantly focused on new treatments and improving care in the future. In fact, we are the top center for clinical trials with the Colorado Cancer Research Program.

In addition, we are the first Colorado hospital to earn accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for our Breast Care Center. Lutheran joins only 203 other hospitals nationwide, which have earned this accreditation.

Our program is one of 75 in the nation and one of three in Colorado to receive the Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award.
