Primary Children’s Hospital is owned by Intermountain Health and is the pediatric specialty teaching hospital for the University of Utah School of Medicine. This is a full-time, benefits eligible, child and adolescent psychology postdoctoral fellowship position within intensive services with a stipend of $55,000. This is a one-year position that includes completing psychological evaluations with patients and facilitating psychotherapeutic interventions in the day treatment setting. The fellow will also carry day treatment patients on their caseload, providing individual and family therapy for these patients, as well as case management and consultation. The fellow will also be involved in process groups and/or skills groups. As a member of the psychology team, the psychology fellow’s duties also include: completing new patient assessments, attending rounds, participating in treatment team meetings, and consulting with other treatment team members. Telehealth will likely remain a component of the program for a portion of psychotherapy cases.

There is also a possibility to provide psychological services to other levels of care, such as on the inpatient unit or within the partial hospitalization or intensive outpatient programs, as well as program development and consultation. The fellow will be involved in didactic trainings and seminars, and there are also opportunities to participate in various training activities associated with our APA-accredited internship program.
