Pharmacy Residencies
Our pharmacy residency program offers 12 months of comprehensive postgraduate training through rotations at multiple sites, offering several different PGY1 and PGY2 residencies that help our residents reach their full potential.
What sets us apart
We are proud to have more than 20 years experience training pharmacy residents. More than 470 residents have graduated from our program, more than 150 of whom are still working at Intermountain Health. Our graduates are competent and confident practitioners in multiple practice environments. They are well-qualified to pursue specialty residency training, board certification, and clinical pharmacist positions.
Our vision is to create the best learning environment for consistent, evaluated clinical pharmacy training, that helps to develop well-rounded pharmacy practitioners that patients and providers demand to have as part of their healthcare team.
What makes us unique:
- Opportunity to train within a diverse, multi-hospital integrated delivery system
- Numerous PGY1 and PGY2 training programs available; in many cases, PGY1 residents can early commit to a PGY2 specialty program offered by Intermountain Health
- Large variety of rotation experiences with opportunities to complete off-site rotations
- Weekly didactic education sessions focusing on leadership, teaching, research, and other professional skills
- Tailored experience to help you achieve your professional goals
- Emphasis on resident wellness, resiliency, and "soft skills"
- Strong preceptor commitment to patient care and resident training
- Optional academic teaching certificate offered
