Fillmore Community Hospital was built and commissioned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1948. Its construction was arranged and commenced in partnership with the local community. The hospital was operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until 1975. At this time, the church divested of its hospitals by donating them to the public through non-profit Intermountain Health. Intermountain was given the charge to continue the hospitals’ operation and provide affordable care to all. The hospital in Fillmore was one of the original 15 hospitals donated to non-profit Intermountain Health.
In 1985, a new facility was constructed at 674 S Hwy 99 in Fillmore. This is where the hospital currently stands today. The hospital’s name was changed to Fillmore Community Medical Center. In 2015, the name was changed back.
Since 1985, the hospital has been renovated several times. Recent renovations have included updates to patient areas and major improvements to the Women’s and Newborn wing. A solarium dayroom was added in 1990. The hospital’s imaging department was expanded in 2011 and a CT scanner was added.
Today, the hospital continues to add services and improve its amenities while helping patients and visitors live the healthiest lives possible.
