Our classes are customized and unique, and build on the education philosophies such as Hypnobirthing™, Hypnobabies™, Mindfulness Birthing™ and Birthing From Within™ as well as others in order to best prepare you for an unmedicated birth. You will also learn specific strategies for partners, while you become empowered and confident in your body’s ability to give birth.
Childbirth Preparation at Birth Center Of Denver
Module 1: Tuesday nights, 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm – (Virtual)
Our modern, specialized childbirth classes will prepare you for labor and birth at Birth Center of Denver. Let our expert Certified Childbirth Educators teach you about the labor process, optimal fetal positioning, and natural coping techniques. Explore early signs of labor, and know what to do in early labor and when to call the Birth Center.
Module 2: Tuesday nights, 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Continue learning about comfort in labor with hands-on practice in one of our birth suites. You will also learn specific strategies for partners, while you become empowered and confident in your body’s ability to give birth. Included is a specialized session to better prepare you and your partner to navigate the immediate postpartum period aka “The 4th Trimester”. Please choose a date that works best with your schedule.
Module 3: Thursday nights, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Our comprehensive Nursing with Confidence class discusses the benefits of breastfeeding, how milk is produced, feeding techniques, breast pumps, nursing bras, breastfeeding products, milk storage, and how to avoid common problems. This class is most beneficial when moms-to-be attend with their partner or support person.
Module 4: Thursday nights, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Baby Steps is a wonderfully designed class will help you prepare for going home after birth and for life with a newborn. The first few hours, days, and weeks at home can be overwhelming as you care for and get to know a new baby. Let our staff help you feel confident and prepared. Learn all the basics from bathing, diapering, and comforting to recognizing signs of illness, and more.
Module 5: Thursday nights, 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm – NO CHARGE (Virtual)
This brief class will take place toward the end of your pregnancy. One of our CNMs will ensure you feel ready to give birth at Birth Center of Denver and that we have everything we need including any additional consent forms and your birth preferences. We will discuss transfers, newborn procedures, and the baby’s birth certificate process.

Birth Center of Denver’s Exclusive New Family Support Group – FREE
For all families who have given birth at Birth Center of Denver
Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Join our tribe! This unique support group meets in the morning at Birth Center of Denver. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of hanging out with other women who are doing what you’re doing during the first few months of your baby’s life. Each group is facilitated by our CNMs, lactation consultants, and educators who can answer your questions about breastfeeding, baby care, and also help with your own transition and wellness. Talk about feeding, swaddling, baby-wearing, relationships, and whatever else is on your mind. You will get the opportunity to have your baby’s weight checked, get advice about breastfeeding problems, and get that reassurance you need to continue being the best mom for your baby.
