History and leadership
Learn more about our history and leadership team
Layton Hospital opened its doors in October 2018, providing a new front door into Intermountain Health’s network of care in Davis County.
Building this hospital was the culmination of more than a decade of planning, preparing, and developing relationships with community leaders to bring this beautiful new campus to fruition. It also required a remarkable financial commitment of $164 million, which was a significant investment by the residents of Davis County in the future of Intermountain Health in their neighborhood.
Over the course of the coming decades, we hope to provide a return on that investment as we grow with the communities we serve, offering residents with a comprehensive complement of appropriate services close to home, as well as provide them with access to the broader network of specialized healthcare available through Intermountain’s network of hospitals and clinics located throughout the Intermountain West.
