Getting started

The first step is to meet with a provider for a diagnostic intake. During this appointment, your provider will give you information about the program so you can make a decision if the program is of interest to you. The provider will also ask you questions to develop a better understanding of your mental health history and what you are hoping to get from the IOP. By the end of the appointment, the provider will be able to let you know if you are a good fit for the IOP.

If you are approved for the program, you will be given a tentative start date. The clinic will then obtain pre-authorization from your insurance company. After the initial intake, you may be able to start the program within a week. This is dependent on how long it takes to obtain pre-authorization.
